Oh well, only 1 hr 45 min till the weekend (thats when my class finishes)

My gosh, the twit: a) couldn't tell a dive from a foul, and b) couldn't keep track of time - the "foul" happened after the 3min of injury time, so he should have stopped the game already...

Stupid Spanish ass...I hope you never referee a World Cup match again!

As for the Italians: They call us a dirty team?!?! The only way they could win was to cheat!!! Assssshooooles...Grosso deserved an Oscar for his dive...Ok maybe it wasn't that spectacular...Maybe a Logie? Do you reckon John Wood would give his to him? lol!

Now...the Socceroos...I feel so sorry for you all...You played out of your skins and were all over them, they were scared! You are a team of champions which Italy will never be as you played with courage, conviction and sportsmanship, which is more than I can say for those scumbags that pass for "talented" footballers. You have done yourselves proud and your country proud!

To Lucas Neill especially: You went for the ball, not the player in a tackle that you needed to make, but that scumbag that passes for a professional decided to go for the dive when he could have easily jumped over you. The ass was on the ground holding his head and probably hollering with laughter once his cheating teamates told him the ref awarded a penalty. You played the best games of your life...You're my MVP for Australia!

Four years may seem a long time to wait, but in those four years you all can go from strength to strength and become a team worthy of awe from everyone in the world. I wish you well in the Asian Cup qualifiers!

I love you Socceroos! Keep your heads up high and keep playing the same way you always do because one day soon you will pull off just a little bit of Aussie magic that will make the world sit up and take notice!

And hell, we made it to the final 16! Thats something we should be proud of! Gosh, we even came close to beating Brazil! Number one in the world up against number 44 in the world...This is a tournament I will remember forever.

P.S. And FIFA? Stop with this fair play bullshit and start making sure the referees can tell a dive from a foul and treat all teams equally, regardless of how many World Cup finals they've been in!

So we made it!

I've been up since, oh.... around 4:30am!! We went to a friend's place to watch it coz we have this theory now that whenever we're together Australia wins...

Ok so we didn't "win" today...but we made it into the second round, so Guus can be happy with his $850,000 bonus :P

But it worked for the Uraguay game in Sydney, and for the Japan game. And the reason we didnt win against Brazil was because we weren't together! lol! Gotta love when 2 families in Sydney think it comes down to them as to whether Australia wins football matches :P

But omg that game was a shocker wasn't it? Mark Viduka gets rugby tackled in the penalty area, and Croatia get the goal kick...it was a friggin penalty ref!!

Then...there was the hand ball by....one of their players (I don't know his name and I don't care) that we actually got a penalty for :) Craig Moore you are a ledgend...and thankyou to whichever Aussie player (or players) kept Mark Viduka away from that ball! As much as we trust you as a captain, you just cant shoot anymore since that missed penalty in Sydney against Uraguay...sorry mate...

AND THEN (no and den!-sorry, distracted...gosh, can you blame me, i've been up for over 5 hours already!) the same player did a hand ball (OR TWO!!) and we didn't get a penalty.

Then, Emerton, I can't tell if it was accidental or not, gets sent off for a hand ball...not that he's any great loss, but cos he gets sent off he misses the next game against Italy...darn *sarcasm*

The thing that confused me the most though was Guus' decision to put Kalac in goals over Schwarzer...I mean c'mon man, Kalac is an ugly, evil looking old man who shouldnt have been playing in a match that was do-or-die...sure...you could have put him on in the Brazil game, that result didnt matter so much...gosh the twit even scored an own goal (it deflected off him so I count that as an own goal)

Anyhoo, up early again on Tuesday morning for the knock-out match against Italy! I really hope we win, making the quarter finals would just be awesome!! C'mon Guus and all the Aussie guys, pull out a little Aussie magic and beat those Italians...do it for Johnny Warren - he told us so!

I know Australia have like, a 1 million to 1 chance of winning the World Cup this year, I'm not saying they will, but I will support them as far as they go in the tournament, and forever after.

anyhoo,this will be short as i g2g soon

*winces* bloody knee! u'd think it'd stop being sore now! its been an entire week!

*looks around* oh yeah..none of u know...except Em...

i dislocated my knee at netball on saturday (03/06) and its still sore now, so i think its more than just dislocated...oh well...still on crutches, but thinking of the buff arm muscles i'm going to have to get me thru the pain...and not thinking of how un-buff (is that a word?) my legs will be by not walking...
